We came in on an hour lunch. We let our server Iris know. She was attentive with beverages and service and our order came out flawless even though there were specifics ( have problems all the time ) .
I'm leaving this review because the food was so good and Iris was a fantastic server.
I work in the hood and I'll be back :)

This place used to be my favorite vourite, so I went there last week and ordered works burger and it was horrible. The burger was dry and the bread was old and tasteless. Sorry but not gonna go there anymore

I just happened to be there 2pm in the afternoon which happened to be peak hours. My sister and I were greeted by friendly waitress and she was one of 2 waitresses for the busy sunday afternoon. I wanted to try this place because of low pricing, and my personal experience was nothing special.

The restaurant was short staffed and the food and water took so long to come. 30 minutes is the minimum time to wait and there were tons of other tables waiting as well. Despite the good pricing, food portion is small so it's better to order another dish. I ordered Smoky BBQ Burger with onion rings ($1.95) and Soft Tacos and my actual food bill wasn't what I expected. The actual total of Soft Tacos was $7.90 after adding Chipotle Mayo ($1), Guac($1.95).

As for the food, burger bun was quite dry. Onion rings were really good, and taco was good as well. I have to say tacos looked like something else when it arrived. The food wasn't bad after all until I saw a hair on Soft Taco. The waitress apologized and helped us getting a newly made taco. I was happy about the service, even though we had to wait again for the taco. Besides the waitress overcharged my bill, when I didn't order a bacon ($1.95) for my burger.

I'll give 2 stars instead of 1 as the waitress was very helpful and attentive. I'd rather have my burger at A&W or Wendy's instead.

TLDR: Decent cheap food, horrible service. If you can live through the latter, come here.

I came here with my coworkers after work and got a table for four people. No wait, which was nice because it was about 5pm on weekday and people are getting off work. But that's about the only good thing that happened on our visit. Our server was probably the worst I've ever had, it seemed like she really hated her job. Short curt sentences, threw napkins on the table and essentially made our stay awkward and unpleasant, almost as if she wanted us to leave. The good part was that she was doing the physical serving aspect of her job properly but the attitude was completely shocking.

The food itself was pretty good, I got a mushroom Swiss burger with fries which is part of their $4.95 all day menu. There is a pretty good menu selection. My burger had a nice patty and bun with some good rich Swiss mushrooms and cheese; really good for the price. Food wise, this place could easily get 3.5 stars. But, the service is what kills the whole thing.

When it came time to pay, the waitress threw my friend's credit card on the table and patronized my friend who innocently asked if he would get charged if he used the ATM. I'm not sure why she's even in the service industry but she's making a decent restaurant seem horrible.

Overall, if you can endure verbal abuse then the food is worth it for the price. I don't expect too much for a $4.95 menu but I honestly would've had a better experience if she gave me my food and never came back. I'm willing to come back but I pray I get a different sever.

EDIT: FYR, they don't accept debit card, only credit card.

Decent food at cheap prices. The inevitable day has finally come though, all food items are now $5.95 instead of $4.95. It was a good couple of years while it lasted, but the $1 really isn't that much for what you're getting.

You can't really go wrong with anything on the menu. Of course it's not going to be Michelin star fare, but it's all pretty good! My boyfriend and I like the calamari and the beef burgers, but we'll also get a couple other items to share when we feel like splurging (heh).

The inside is really dark though, and they'll randomly blast music really loudly, so it's difficult to carry on a conversation at times. At the end of the day, it IS a bar, and you can't have everything, right?
